North Salinas High School was the second comprehensive high school built in the city of Salinas to serve the expanding north part of the city in 1959. It's mascot is the Viking and the enrollment of the school as of 2021 is 2,197 students. It is one of five comprehensive high schools within the Salinas Union High School District.
